How to Use Cocopeat(Coir)

  •       Easy to use! Just put your compressed Cocopeat(Coir) blocks in a container or potting mix equipment, add
water and let it sit until (approximately 5-10 min) the water is absorbed, fluff it up and you are ready to use
    Coco Peat!

As a Potting Mix: (Cocopeat(Coir) processing)
Cocopeat(Coir) blocks or bales can be rehydrated by spraying water on it. This rehydrated Cocopeat(Coir) is placed
in the mixing unit for uniform mixing along with nutrient and / or Fertilizer. 20 to 100% of Cocopeat(Coir) is mixed with
the soil and nutrients can be used as a potting mix for commercial growers and for indoor and out door gardening
purposes.

Seedling Nurseries:
Cocopeat(Coir) is used as a very good growing medium in seedling nurseries because of its high air filled porosity
(honey comb structure of the fibre) and high water holding capacity. It enhances strong and profuse root
development. The seed germination rates are very high using Cocopeat(Coir) compared to traditional peat moss use.

50% - 70% of Cocopeat(Coir) can be included in the seedling mix to improve aeration and water holding capacity
along with suitable liquid nutrients. It is advised to check the pH and EC of the mix prior to use.
Lawn and Golf Course Construction:
All sand based sports field constructions such as Golf course and lawn, addition of
Cocopeat(Coir) reduces the nutrient requirements, watering frequency and requires less maintenance compared to
traditional method of golf course development.
Addition of Cocopeat(Coir) increases aeration and reduces irrigation frequency because of its high water holding
capacity and slows down evaporation rate especially in hot summer climate. It increases nutrient retention and there
by reduce the frequency of fertiliser application. It is always advised to contact qualified consultant to test the
Cocopeat-sand mix prior to use to test for water holding capacity& air filled porosity. Mix the Cocopeat(Coir) (minimum
15%) and sand in the required percentages. Spread this mix on the golf ground uniformly to create root zone profile.
